Marching Band Summer Uniform

• Show Shirt (AstroHawk)

• “Official” Thunderhawk shorts (black)

• White ankle socks

• WHITE gym shoes (if you don’t have any, buy an inexpensive, comfortable pair as white as possible before Friday)

• Sousas – don’t forget your berets, if you’d like to wear them.  Remember your $25 if you have not yet made payment.

• No jewelry, piercings, etc.

• Long hair pulled back in a pony tail (this includes gentlemen)

• Gentlemen clean shaven

Marching Band Performance Uniform

• Provided pants and jacket must be treated with the best care at all times including being hung properly following a performance
• Provided hat must be kept in provided storage box when not in use
• Keep your gloves clean, shoes polished, and your instrument or props shiny
• Black socks must be worn at every performance. You will not march if you do not have black socks. These socks must be crew-length or longer.
• Parent volunteers will place plumes in hats
• Any hair extending beyond the uniform collar must be pinned up or tucked under your hat
• No facial hair is allowed as part of our uniform appearance
• No jewelry, including earrings, is to be worn with the uniform
• A plain white T-shirt (or show shirt) must be worn under the uniform jacket. NO sleeveless shirts, tank tops or camisoles are allowed.
• You will be changing in front of others. Over your usual underwear, please wear boxers, bike shorts or other short gym shorts that will not create a bulky look under the uniform trousers.
• Inclement-weather Uniforms: The Marching Band performs in just about every kind of weather. However, we may not be wearing our uniforms. In the event of bad weather, the uniform will be blue jeans, black socks, marching band shoes, your band shirt, parkas and hat. If the weather looks threatening, or you are in doubt, be prepared by bringing both the alternate uniform and your normal uniform.
• You may not be dismissed following a performance until your uniform has been checked.
