Venneman, Emily – Clarinet, Sax, Piano
Emily Venneman has been teaching private lessons in Liberty Township for over three years. A 2007 graduate of Lakota East, where for three years she performed with Symphonic Winds, Eastside Jazz Ensemble and the Thunderhawk Marching Band and various honor bands. She is a recent graduate of Miami University where she earned her Bachelor of Music degree cum laude, in music education. While attending Miami University, Emily studied clarinet under Professor Michele Gingras and participated in many clarinet chamber ensembles. She was a member of the Miami University Wind Ensemble under Mr. Gary Speck for four years where she performed on clarinet, alto clarinet and piano and also served as business manager. Emily played lead steel pan for four years in the well-known Miami University Steel Band under Dr. Chris Tanner. She was also the jazz pianist in the Miami University Jazz Ensemble, who was directed by Dr. Jeremy Long.
With over thirteen years of piano lessons, Emily is qualified to teach private piano lessons and to accompany students. She has had years of experience with accompanying college students for their juries and other solo performances, and junior high and high school students for OMEA Solo and Ensemble contests.
