Participation Fee for Marching Band is due Friday, September 19, 2014. Total fee is $400. You should already have paid $50 of the fee at the registration meeting in May, leaving $350 to be paid by September 19. All fees should be on HAC, so you can check the amount there if you have a question. Fees may be paid at the cashier’s office, mailed to Lakota East (ATTN: CASHIER), or paid through EZ-Pay. Per district policy, students whose Marching Band Participation Fee is NOT paid in full by September 19 will not be allowed to participated in any Marching Band Activities until the fee is paid in full.
The final payment for the Hollywood Trip is NOT showing on school fees YET. Because of the fluctuation in overall trip cost, the final amount will not be set until the My Gateway registration process is complete. Once the final cost can be calculated, the final payment will be posted on HAC. Final trip payment will be due October 1. We will get the payment amount posted as soon as possible

Please try on the hat tonight and make sure it fits correctly. Follow the directions below:
There is a string inside the hat that you can adjust to get the right fit for your hair and for how the hat fits down on your head. Please don’t force the hat down if the strings are too tight because it can tear the string thru the holes and rip the vinyl inside. The hat should sit just above your ears – it should not come down over the tops of your ears. It should sit straight on your head – not tilted back – with the brim just above the eyebrows. Fasten the chin strap where it feels snug, but not tight and then you should be able to leave it fastened and just pull over your chin gently to take off and put back on.
It’s your responsibilty to make sure you can put up your hair so that it is all inside the hat. No hair should extend below the collar of the jacket – and you know how high the collar is – and all pieces must be secure & tucked into the hat. Practice with it at home – ask for help from your parents or a uniform mom if you need it. Make sure you can put up your hair so it is tight and will stay in place if you need to remove the hat and put it on again. If your hair has a lot of layers you will need extra practice. If it’s too short to put up, but hangs over your collar you will need a haircut before the first game in uniform – Sept 5.
Any hair ties, head bands or bobby pins you use to put up your hair should be as close to your hair color as possible or black. No hair accessories should show outside or below the hat. (Please do not wear colorful hair accessories – we don’t want them to accidently show outside the hat.)
If you have any questions or think you need a different size hat Mrs Landers will be at East before and after rehearsal Wed (tomorrow) night and you can see her then. Please bring the hat with you if there is an issue.]]>
