Lakota East Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to the Lakota East Band program. When you are new to the program, there are many questions. Even parents that have been around the program for a while can still have questions.

How many bands are there?

There are 2 East Freshman Concert Bands & 2 East Freshman Jazz Bands.

There are 3 Concert Bands and 3 Jazz Bands at East.

There is a Marching Band, which is open to East Sophomores-Seniors.

Color Guard is part of the Marching Band, and is open to Freshman-Seniors.

There is a Pep Band, which plays at East Basketball games.

Winter Guard is open to Freshman-Seniors. Check Winter Programs for details.

Occasionally, a Pit Orchestra is assembled for the Theater Department productions.
