Panda Express Fundraiser TODAY, January 29

On Tuesday, January 29 join us at the West Chester location of Panda Express for a fundraising night for Lakota East Bands! Present the flier between 12:00 and 10:00 pm and Panda Express will donate a percentage of sales back to the Upbeat Club. They have a great menu and have had much success since their opening in 2012. Come enjoy delicious food with your family and help get a little extra for the band program! Be sure to spread the word and the flier, which is attached, to everyone you know.
Information for Ensemble Recital – Monday, January 28
Jan 23rd
- Parents are encouraged to attend the performances.
- Students should plan to arrive 20 minutes prior to their performance.
- Students should warm-up in the band room.
- After the performance each group will have a 10 minute coaching with guest adjudicator in the room.

Swing Dance Friday, January 25th-We Need Volunteers
Please come to this awesome fundraiser for ALL the Lakota East Bands and Color Guard, not just the jazz bands. It will take place on Friday. January 25th from 8:00-10:00pm in the main campus cafeteria. Please visit this link to volunteer.
Tickets can be purchased ahead of time. The pre-sale cost is Adults $10, students and seniors $8. The cost of tickets at the door is $12 for Adults and $10 for students and seniors. You can view a flyer about the event and purchase pre-sale tickets by visiting the Swing Dance page.

Former band parent Cheree Gallant has opened a wonderful business in Mason called Painting With a Twist. Patrons enjoy a two-hour painting class and come out with their own masterpiece! You can even bring your own beverages (adult beverages, if you are of age) and snacks to enjoy during the session. The Lakota East Upbeat Club will partner with them on Sunday, February 10 at 2:00pm where we will create ”Tree of Light.” The best part of all this creative fun? Please Note: The next Upbeat meeting will be Tuesday, January 22nd at 7:30 in the Lakota East Band Room.The change in the schedule is because the typical meeting day is the night before Honor Band weekend and a four day break. Everyone is welcome!
