Good afternoon. For the families of students participating in Solo and Ensemble Contest, the final details regarding this event arrived today. All of the details were sent home with seventh grade students today, and eighth grade students will receive the information tomorrow. For you convenience, this "Solo and Ensemble Final Letter 2012" is attached in this email as well as on H.A.C.  In addition, I'm attaching the "Fees Letter" that we sent home last month. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Resuming Jazz Band Auditions for 2012-13

Dear Parents of Jazz Band Students in Grades 9-11,



I hope all is well!  



FESTIVAL RECAP

Congratulations to your student on an outstanding performance at one of the recent jazz festivals.  Our students from East and West played wonderfully and made us proud at both the Beavercreek and Lebanon Jazz Festivals!  Great job, students!  Now we will shift our rehearsal focus to the upcoming pancake breakfast and the Spring Jazz Concert.

Moeller Music Education Scholarship Available – Deadline April 13, 2012

Music Education ScholarshipApplications must be into the Warren County Arts Council (WCAC) by April 13, 2012 for the Moeller Music Center’s Music Education Scholarship.  All OMEA’s District 13 high school seniors who intend to major in instrumental music school education are eligible for this scholarship.  Attached are the scholarship guidelines.  As in the past, the Warren County Arts Council is administering this scholarship.

For those students living in Warren County, the following scholarships are also available through the Warren County Arts Council: 

 

Cynthia Maria Stegman Voice Scholarship (voice)

Hamilton Stands Music Scholarship (music or music business management)

Hawkins Music Scholarship (emphasis in classical music – performance, teaching, conducting)

Larry E. Stone Founder’s Scholarship (any art-related field including music)

LCNB  Arts Scholarship (any art-related field including music)

WCAC Arts Scholarship(s) (any art-related field including music)
