The Fruit, Cheesecake, and Cookie Dough sale had 2 students sell over $500 in product. Their prize is honor of throwing a pie in the face of the band directors Mr. Tanis and Mr. Thomas. It will take place outside of the band room after school so don’t be late.
ATTENTION STUDENTS AND PARENTS: We are in need of volunteers for the Fruit, Cheesecake and Cookie Dough sale pick up and delivery day assistance. On Friday, December 3rd from 5 – 8 pm we will need 3-4 adult volunteers and 4-6 student volunteers for assistance with unloading the fruit and cheesecake from the delivery truck. By this time the cookie dough should have arrived and would already have been unloaded. The orders need to be sorted and placed with cookie dough. Pick up will be held at the rear entrance of the cafeteria at Lakota East High School.
On Saturday, December 4th from 8 – noon we are in need of 3-4 adult volunteers and 6-8 student volunteers for assisting parents to their cars with orders during pick up. You will also need to make sure their orders are correct. If you are able to attend just an hour or so on these days that is okay. Please e-mail Jean Fox at jean.fox@lakotaonline or Mary Beth Gasser at email@example.com with you available day and times as soon as possible. Government hours for class will be granted and any other volunteer hours needed by students, letters provided.
Thank you in advance for making this a successful sale.

Our City Barbeque fundraiser was covered by the Channel 5 (WLWT) news team and aired on their evening news Tuesday November 9th, 2010. To see a video of the story, go to this link on the wlwt.com website. Thanks to everyone for helping out. The restaurant was heard to say they wished they had asked more people to work that day because of how busy they were.
UPDATE: City Barbeque was very busy as the fund raiser rang up $2900+ in sales with over $725 going to the band. Thanks everyone for helping out the band. This has been our best restaurant fund raiser yet.
Our annual Swing Dance will be here before you know it.. We are moving the venue back to the Main campus this year. We are in the planning stages right now and we are in need of a few more people to help out on this awesome committee.
1. Basket raffle co-chair. The basket raffle is definitely the way we can make more money for this event since we have maxed out on the number of tickets we can sell. The co-chair for baskets needs to help with soliciting donations from various sources, gathering donations, putting baskets together and be available the night of the dance.
2. Volunteer coordinator – help sign-up workers prior to the dance, organize the workers and be available the night of the dance to make sure the workers are where they need to be!
3. Coat check – we need a parent(s) that are willing to run the coat check that will be in the auditorium on Main St.
If you have any questions about time committment or about a position(s) we are looking to fill, please call or email Laurie McKenna (h) 759-9411 firstname.lastname@example.org
Calling all bakers and buyers of baked goods! We have a Bake Sale during the Craft Show on November 13 and 14 and we need goodies to sell. Goodies are cakes, brownies, cookies, pies, fudge, cupcakes, rice krispie treats, candy and anything else wonderful to eat. If you are not a baker or candy maker, consider picking up some sweet treats from the grocery and donating them. We greatly appreciate anything that we can resell. Wrapping or bagging your items (2 or 3 together) is a huge help. Drop off your donations on Friday 12 from 5:00 – 8:00 at the Concession Stand near the front doors at Lakota East. Thanks!
