Noon               Arrive at Lakota East

12:15 p.m.       Rehearsal

1:45 p.m.         Load

2:30 p.m.         Depart for Ottawa-Glandorf (133 miles, 2 hrs. 30 min.)

5:00 p.m.         Arrive at Ottawa-Glandorf (check in, eat, watch bands if time permits)

6:15 p.m.         Get dressed

6:45 p.m.         To staging & assembling area

6:55 p.m.         Warm up (area _)

7:35 p.m.         To the ready stage

7:45 p.m.         Perform

8:30 p.m.         Awards

Depart for Sandusky (97 miles, 2 hours 9 minutes)

TBD                Arrive at the Breakers in Sandusky and check in.  Each bus is to have a loading/unloading crew.  These people will take care of unloading the bus.

When we unload the buses, get together with your roomies and wait for further instructions.

8:30 a.m.         Wake up, get dressed.  Wear your show shirt.

9:00 a.m.         Breakfast

10:15 a.m.       Load buses

11:00 a.m.       Arrive at Cedar Point.  The quicker we get checked in, the more time you have in the park.  (We have special admission to be in the park early! The park officially opens at noon).

4:00 p.m. ish    ON YOUR OWN-EAT DINNER AT THE PARK!

4:45 p.m.         To buses.

5:00 p.m.         Depart Cedar Point (230 miles, 4 hours to East).  The only stop we will make will be a rest-area stop outside of Lima Ohio.

9:00 p.m.         Arrive at East

THINGS TO REMEMBER:

  • Eat before you come to rehearsal.
  • BE ON TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Black shoes, black socks, hats. black gloves, polished instruments and uniforms.
  • No jewelry. Leave it at home.
  • You are responsible for all of your stuff!
  • Everyone loads their own instrument.
  • Review the travel rules part of your handbook.
  • You are representing our school and community.  Act accordingly.
  • AT Ottawa-Glandorf:  No one is allowed on the buses without a chaperone present.
  • No personal stereos until after the show.
  • Watch other bands if time permits.
  • Bring Money for food (Saturday and 2 meals on Sunday and snacks. Or brown bag it).
  • NO EATING IN YOUR UNIFORM.
  • Have fun and do a great job that will make us all proud.
  • Remember to “Continue The Tradition!”

  • Goals for this contest:  A Superior Rating!
