Welcome to the Lakota East High School Music Program
We pride ourselves at Lakota for offering a wide range of quality instrumental experiences with the concert program being the foundation of our instrumental program. District-wide we have approximately 2,500 students actively involved in our instrumental program in grades 6-12. Our mission is for every student to enjoy, appreciate and perform music to the best of their abilities and to realize that playing a musical instrument can last a lifetime.
Mission Statement
The Mission of the Lakota East High School Music Department is to promote excellence in music by creating meaningful cultural experiences through performance, understanding and appreciation of the art of music, while encouraging personal enrichment of the student’s mind and spirit in a supportive and challenging environment.
Website Ownership
This web site is maintained by the Lakota East Upbeat Club (LEUC). LEUC is the band booster organization that supports the concert bands, the jazz bands and the marching band for the Lakota East High School, and East Freshman School, located in Liberty Township, Ohio.

Lakota East students take great pride in showcasing their musical talents and abilities at numerous concerts and events. We hope you enjoy browsing the galleries and seeing our students in action. As a booster organization in support of the Lakota band program, the Lakota Upbeat Club, Inc. complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which prohibits the release of personal information and education records without parent permission. A student’s name, photo, video and grade level may be displayed on the web site unless the student’s parent or guardian has made a FERPA request to keep this information confidential.
